Anti-DNA -Double Strand (Anti-dsDNA)

The anti-DNAse test may be used to confirm that a recent strep infection with group A Streptococcus is the cause glomerulonephritis (a form of kidney disease) or rheumatic fever. The test may be used in conjunction with an ASO, another test used to detect prior strep infections.
